Lovely undemanding houseplant; always a favorite carefree windowsill citizen; excellent addition to any dish garden and a great visual companion to the more commonly available L. socialis.

"Silver Squill" Rich purple swollen bulblets in thick clusters support small violet- backed leaves whose surfaces are dotted silver. Easy houseplant with small wands of tiny white flowers produced seasonally. If allowed to become a many-headed specimen, the winter blooms can be quite impressive en mass.

65829 LEDEBOURIA SOCIALIS GILA MONSTER LIL HP TGH PRICE: $ 6.75 A lovely olive ovals scattered on ash blue to glaucus green leaves held in bunches over the swollen bulbs which ofset to form a perfect hemisphere. Originally shared with us by Ruth Crane, this beauty is probably a separate species not accurately identified.

65830 LEDEBOURIA SOCIALIS JUDA LIL HP TGH PRICE: $ 38.00 A cultivar selected by the late Juda Livesay sporting fantastic white variegation as stripes throughout which become pink-tinted in strong light. Much valued by collectors of unusual variegates. Not as vigorous as the species forms. Usually shipped as divisions in dry perlite to prevent any rotting.

56904 LEDEBOURIA VIOLACEA LIL HP TGH PRICE: $ 9.50 This is an old plant, but a new intro for Glasshouse Works. This is shorter and higher color than Ledebouria socialis. The spots are darker and the plants are more compact. We have seen this listed as Scilla violacea also.

Please be aware that this will probably defoliate during shipping--just scatter the succulent leaflets over the surface of porus soil and they will willing root. Rich ivory marbled slightly flattened pad clusters become pinkish-violet in high light. Beautiful, easy houseplant becoming very stunning in the added light of a hobby greenhouse.

60151 ORBEA VARIEGATA ASC HP TGH PRICE: $ 6.25 "Starfish Cactus" (But of course not a Cactus but a member of the Milkweed family.) Small stems bear large yellow starflowers marked umber and purple, accented by a central ring (called annulus). Formerly Stapelia variegata, requiring constant warmth, quickly rotting if chilled. These are sent as sections in dry perlite.

65833 ORNITHOGALUM CAUDATUM LIL HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.00 "Sea Onion" or "German Onion" Glossy strap leaves top the ever expanding, ever more impressive opalescent green bulbs (which sit on the surface of the soil) whose sides constantly erupt to give "birth" to new bulblets (produced in clusters under each onion skin of the bulb surface), thus known everywhere as the "Pregnant Onion"; easy first plant for a child. With maturity each big round waxy bulb sends forth a thick stemmed long wand with small white lily flowers striped green. Easy. Easy. Easy.
