31450 COLOCASIA AFFINIS JENNINGSII LAB TGH PRICE: $ 7.00 The shimmery "Black Caladium" with central purple mask between the pale veins of ash silver. Prefers aquatic spot, but successful as regular pot plant, soon forming a colony. Many of you have bought this over the years from us and realize that it has a very long winter dormancy if temperatures stay on the cool side: best left in its container and kept barely moist during this period. However, in a warm greenhouse this beauty will maintain its shimmery foliage.

30625 COLOCASIA ESCULENTA ARAC PRICE: $ 5.00 Popular "Elephant Ear" whose giant quilted peltate leaves have always made it a popular accent plant for outdoor beds; the tubers are the source of "Taro."

33114 COLOCASIA ESCULENTA DIAMOND HEAD ARAC TGH TP PRICE: $ 12.00 New super purple-black form of this great arrowhead or elephant ear. Glossier than some of the other clones and quite large as matures.

30785 COLOCASIA ESCULENTA CHICAGO HARLEQUIN ARAC GH PRICE: $ 12.00 A form of the regular water Taro with lime green to cream splashes and maculations in the leaf pattern--a tip of the hat to John Jocius for finding and sharing this subtlely variegated, elegant bog gem with the rest of us.

30606 COLOCASIA ESCULENTA ILLUSTRIS ARAC CGH PRICE: $ 12.00 "Imperial Taro" Soft shimmery heart shaped leaves with purple brushings between the veins. Semiaquatic conditions best. Keep root/bulb zone quite warm to encourage ample foliage.

39184 COLOCASIA ESCULENTA JET BLACK WONDER [ETC.] ARAC CGH PRICE: $ 15.00 (The correct original name is C. jenkensii 'Uahiapele') THE solidly dusky deep purple leaved taro creating a sensation in the garden & conservatory alike; also sold as 'Cranberry,' & 'Black Magic.' Very happy as a semi-aquatic--will maintain foliage readily in the warm winter greenhouse as long as it is given consistently wet warm feet. See Alocasia plumbea nigra if you are searching for the larger, glossy foliaged "Black Elephant Ear."

56812 COLOCASIA ESCULENTA SUNNY SPLASH ARA TGH PRICE: $ 22.00 Elephant ears of milky green with golden lime splashes and freckling. Yinger's inspired name for this clone which is easier to grow than 'Milky Way' but also quite sensitive to even a slight chill. Seems remarkably like the old cultivar in our collection from a Hawaiian grower called Colocasia 'Manini Owali'. For the collector of variegates more than for the aquatic landscaper.

31254COLOCASIA ESCULENTA VIOLET/PURPLE STEM ARAC TGH CGH PRICE: $10.00. Dusky purple blushed dramatic arrow shaped leaves held over the showy smoky purple petioles; excellent in water gardens as well as regular containers. Prefers to go dormant mid-winter, even in greenhouse situations.

30633 COLOCASIA KAPO [HORT] AFF. FALAX ARAC HP TGH PRICE: $ 10.00 Charming "Miniature Taro" Small one foot plant with small shield-shaped leaves with dark radiating veins accenting the pink-blushed centers. Nearly evergreen if kept in warmish winter greenhouse avoiding an extended winter dormancy. The same semi-aquatic plant as the one various of you ordered from us years ago as 'Hawai'i Silver Kapo' which was Waimea Arboretum's name for it. Perhaps will remain the best of the decorative Taros for houseplant and litegardening projects.

31453COLOCASIA NANCYANA NANCY'S REVENGE ARAC TGH CGH PRICE: $ 15.00 Amazing "Starburst Elephant Ear" with new rounded tipped very dark leaves displaying a creany starry center radiating out as the thickly textured leaves mature--beware: this species can nearly reach the massive dimension of Alocasia odora (although the spathes resemble C. esculenta)! To see this is to need it--very popular with hobby greenhouse growers as will produce small more highly colored leaves all winter in full sun than it seems to unfurl in the summer bog's heat--absolutely will not tolerate chill. A note of warning: the young juvenile foliage is typically solid green so you must grow this on in balmy condition to achieve the larger mature foliage displaying the dramatic starburst centers. And the name? Jerry Kranz discovered this in the Caribbean and named it for Nancy McDaniels.

31414 COLOCASIA [XANTHOSOMA] MACULATUS ARAC TGH PRICE: $ 15.00 Heavily mottled arrow shaped foliage always stays compact for us; must have moisture and considerable constant warmth for best dramatic show. from Larry Lowman, Ridgecrest Nursery, this resembles a Caladium more than the other taros.

33121 COLOCASIA MOJITO (MOHITO) ARAC TGH PRICE: $ 15.00 Heavily mottled new arrowhead Colocasia with richly textured spots and slashes. Take a look. New this year at Glasshouse Works.

11709 COLYSIS ELLIPTICA CRISPA-VARIEGATA POLYPOD CGH HP PRICE: $35.00 "Frosted Petticoat Fern" From woody surface rhizomes emerge short stems flaunting astounding leathery fingered fronds elaborately crested and tipped with frosty white variegation Remains a dwarf fern of relatively easy culture. Please anticipate a complete shedding (dropping?) of fronds when the environment is changed or when it is divided--after sulking a bit, the woody rhizomes will send forth new fronds on new rhizome growth.

10204 COLYSIS WRIGHTII POLYP HP CGH PRICE: $ 6.75 Very compact deep green strap fronds with tiny depressions on surface like hammered tin. Very attractive small fern equally successful as a windowsill pot plant (looks great in a small bonsai pot as the wiry maroonish rhizomes wander over the lip) and as a small statured vertical accent in the sophisticated terrarium. Delicate appearance, yet easy to grow.

11431 COLYSIS WRIGHTII MONSTRIFERA POLYP CGH TERR PRICE: $ 9.25 Short glossy membraneous fronds, elaborately veined, widely fluted into undulant tips like an Art Nouveau fantasy. And thus sometimes in Asian texts as 'Laciniata' even though not exactly lacinate! This tassled rare dwarf is petite enough to be perfect in a terrarium, yet quite able to cope with humidity levels of the windowsill or litegarden. Always one of the most popular dwarf ferns we offer--it looks difficult to grow, but is not. Certainly the most Lalique of any small statured plants.

Different Cultivars of Coprosma that are Sometime Available

41488 COPROSMA KIRKII VARIEGATA [HYB] RUB CGH HP PRICE: $ 4.75 "Dwarf Mirror Plant" Dwarf densely branched willowy stems with small waxy lance leaves margined bright white; said to produce nearly translucent flowers dotted scarlet, which are followed by creamy white berries. C. acerosa x repens hybrid demanding full sun to flourish. Wonderful cascading from a hanging basket or from a summer windowbox; very popular with topiary designers as can readily be pinned to the mossed frame to form a wonderful peacock' s tail, or the white stripes of a zebra, and so on.

Cordylines in Bloom!

59108 CORDYLINE TERMINALIS KIWI AGA TGH PRICE: $ 5.00 Urn plant as well as a great subject for your indoor gardens come Fall. Kiwi is one of the most compact with good gold and ash green striped color. It does wonderfully in the house and grows moderately slow. Great for an accent plant.

40164 CORDYLINE TERMINALIS TRICOLOR LAB TGH PRICE: $ 5.00 Large newly emerging leaves are extravagantly variegated white, pink & red; these gradually ripen to deep green wide blades for a emphatic contrast--still the most dramatic and easily grown of the many many cultivars we have evaluated over the years. Our main (stock) large "Ti" plant extravagantly produces impressively sized highly ornamental inflorescence shaped like a brached corn tassel. While other cultivars come and go in popularity, this heirloom cultivar remains completely unchallenged as the "Thriller" in any planting combination, unrivaled in color and vigor.

53101 COSTUS DUBIUS WINNSTRIPE ZIN HP TGH PRICE: $ 20.00 Tom Winn's selection of a wide banded clone--the succulent spiraled leaves are more striped than margined.

53008 COSTUS DUBIUS [AMAZONICUS] VARIEGATUS [HORT] ZIN HP TGH PRICE: $ 8.75 "Ivory Stepladder Plant" Brilliant white stripes on the spiral stepladder leaves; very showy, handsome, and easy if even any brief chill is avoided. More erect than speciosus, with smaller, smooth foliage, on thicker stems.

51209 CRINUM AMABILE PURPLE SELECTION AMARY TGH PRICE: $ 18.00 "Giant Red Spider Lily" Broad fleshy upright leaves emerge a rich purplish maroon in a massive whorl gradually fading to coppery violet; the heavy trunk supports giant stalks of richly fragrant violet toned blossom clusters. Impressive! While excellent as a container subject with silvered or golden foliaged plants, this foliar sculpture reaches an impressive performance peak when treated as a bog plant in full sun.

51027 CRINUM ASIATICUM VARIEGATUM AMARY TGH HP PRICE: $35.00 PRICE: $19.50 NOTE! For a limited time, we are offering this wonderful plant at a reduced price due to an unusually good crop of offsets in our recent hot summers--global warming helping your budget! "Striped Bengal Lily" Large fleshy sword-like leaves are most liberally streaked white & cream; fragrant clusters of waxy white blossoms with purpled centers--these clusters, held alof on strong two edged stalks, can produce up to twenty individual flowers on a mature plant. Striking decorator specimen for the warm greenhouse--drops roots if soil is cool. Certainly the easiest and most dramatic for the hobby greenhouse; equally wonderful if brought out into your outdoor display pool for the summer (but does best if not submerged--the water line must be below the point where the giant trunk emerges from the root mass). Unlike most variegated Crinum cultivars, if given adequate warmth, this one NEVER drops foliage in a cycle of dormancy or in a fit of stubbornness, but incrementally adds more and more fantastically white striped succulent leaves to create a magnificent specimen.

51033 CRINUM GOLDEN GLOW [HYB] AMARY TGH CGH PRICE: $ 65.00 The habit of Crinum japonicum but with golden ochre foliage. Clusters of fragrant blossoms. Very slow growing compared to most Crinum cultivars that we maintain and thus the price remains at collector's levels. Eventually a large and full growing type, it remains rather rare as is very reluctant to offset even in Ohio's tropical conditions.

51152 CRINUM JAPONICUM SHIMA-IRE AMARY CGH PRICE: $ 35.00 Large clone with bright central banded variegation on each ( broad fleshy leaf held in a crown of foliage above the long necked stem); R. Bennett's excellent clone which presents impressively fragrant blossoms--these immense heads of tubular ivory flowers are best initiated by letting the old mature bulb dry enough during the summer to enter a dormancy period. Start watering (or simply set in a pan kept full of water) heavily early fall to bring forth the richly scented winter flowers along with fresh brightly variegated foliage.

51029 CRINUM MOOREI VARIEGATUM AMARY CGH TGH 35.00 Variegated form of "Longneck Swamp Lily" of Natal; broad, nearly succulent leaves with creamy white and straw yellow stripes, usually with bright green rim top a somewhat woody trunk or "neck" adding much drama. Tulip shaped pale pink quickly fading to pearl white flowers in nodding clusters. This most showy. "Veldt Lily" needs to be dormant during most of the hot summer in order to re-sprout and bloom mid-winter. Reaches considerable girth--but always earns its space with a spectacular display of striking foliage and showy blossoms.

51032 CRINUM ST. CHRISTOPHER [HYB] AMARY CGH PRICE: $ 10.00 "Tulip Crinum" Fragrant snowwhite tulip shaped-cupped flower clusters over compact vases of fleshy evergreen leaves. We cannot categorically testify that the lovely blossoms reliably appear on St. Christopher's Day when grown in Ohio; we have received reports that customers have bloomed this in a sunny window with regular fertilizer and feet in a shallow bowl of water (no, the customers did not necessarilly keep their feet in shallow water).

53297 CRYPTANTHUS BIVITTATUS LE REY BRO HP TGH PRICE: $8.00 Light green stars with violet pink edges repeated with purple and lilac interior stripes. Always a favorite among collectors as well as designers of distinctive terrarium groupings. Very similar to 'Novistar.'

52067 CRYPTANTHUS BIVITATTUS RUBY BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 5.00 A C. bivitattus with the vibrant color of dark ruby red. One of the most popular at the greenhouses always. As with others in this easily grown group of "Earthstars," perfect in any terrarium design.

52070 CRYPTANTHUS BLACK MYSTIC [HYB] BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 8.00 Wide starry rosette of undulating chocolate-purple cardboard leaves (of zonatus blood) with dramatic platinum bars. Showy large hybrid for wardian case; although always reliable as a houseplant as it tolerates less than perfect humidity levels.

53362 CRYPTANTHUS BROMELIOIDES [HORT] BRO HP TGH PRICE: $4.00 Bright glossy bronze sheened upright rosettes of elegantly arched leathery fleshy leaves mimic a dwarfed pineapple. Readily offsets to form an impressive large hemisphere as matures, bringing it the nomination for best windowsill performance. This clone not the spiny Brazilian type.

53246 CRYPTANTHUS CLOUD COVER BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 15.00 Dark colored fosteriana/zonatus habit with glorious zoning of rosy verdigris and chocolate blush toned deep bronze leaves dusted scrufty gray in perfect light. Odd dusky giant; becomes quite large.

53397 CRYPTANTHUS COLNAGOI RED FORM BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 15.00 Open rosette of quite long armed ribbon leaves of thick leathery texture of rose hued green dramatically bordered a ruby red, turning purplish in full sun. Unusual habit. Needs full sun to maintain remarkable coloration.
The trio of Cryptanthus Ti, Elaine, and It. Three of the great Earth Star hybrids still much wanted!

53336 CRYPTANTHUS HYBRIDUS ELAINE BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 12.50 A larger grower than many hybrids. This magnificent plant has almost irridescent coloration on the newer dusky toned richly chevroned leaves, each leathery dramatic leaf margined in dusky pink tones. Always a bold subject in the design of a wardian case; always an especially rich color experience when grown under lights which encourages vividly contrasted zoning.

52079 CRYPTANTHUS HYBRIDUS IT BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 12.50 The reverse of the famous Cryptanthus 'It,' with rose-toned cream & orange stripes on the edge of each glossy leaf. Bright pink sometimes fades to white after time. One of the most beautifully color toned hybrids.

52086 CRYPTANTHUS HYBRIDUS TI BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 12.50 The reverse of the famous Cryptanthus 'It,' with rose-toned cream & orange stripes in the center of the glossy leathery leaf rather than the white to pink edge. One of the most beautifully toned big boned hybrids of easy culture.
52315 CRYPTANTHUS MARION OPPENHEIMER [HYB] BRO HP TGH PRICE: $8.25 Leaves of rich sage green with very showy bright pink stripes in compact congested rosettes--unique and beautiful--which slowly but steadily form perfect hemispheres of color in the terrarium. Grows too slowly to compete with others; so locate carefully. Collectors agree that this is indeed the most stunningly beautiful of the small statured variegated "Starflowers."

52081 CRYPTANTHUS NUBICOLA [hort] BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.75 "Cloud Plant" Lovely dwarf with masses of hazy-pink narrow leaves in quite flat profiled rosettes gradually offsetting from the center after blooming; a natural for the small terrarium.

52082 CRYPTANTHUS OLD GOLD BRO HP TGH PRICE: $5.50 Very wide golden-green leaves flecked with silver crystal forming a wide low rosette. Easy as a windowsill plant, magnificent as a basal plant in a large terrarium where it will produce lovely white "hidden" flowers.

53374 CRYPTANTHUS SNOW GOOSE BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 12.50 Wide dramatic big starry rosettes evenly frosted silvery gray (one might even suggest this to be a feuillemorte tone!)--developing a scrufty surface in high light and good exposure. Requires far less food than most geese.

52087 CRYPTANTHUS UNDULATUS BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.25 Very compact species with cardboardish leaf edges quite ruffled; eventually forms mounding tuffets.

An heirloom bromel still sought after for its modest size, good habit and quite unusual colorations. Easy very attractive houseplant tolerating less than perfect levels of humidity. 40166 CTENANTHE OPPENHEIMIANA TRICOLOR LAB TGH PRICE: $ 18.00 "Never-Never Plants" Lanceolate leaves slashed with cream, silver, gray, pink & moss-green; flaunts the wine red reverse backside as the leaves are held upright in ever offsetting broad fans of foliage. Similar to the Stromanthe sanguinea Tricolor offered elsewhere on this site, but taller and more highly variegated--much rarer in the nursery trade. Slow growing and thus our stock may be outstriped by demand, so best INQUIRE as to availability before ordering.

54342 CTENANTHE PILOSA GOLDEN MOSAIC LAB TGH PRICE: $ 8.00 Fanned clusters of large rigidly oblong leaves, each most dramatically splashed in creamy lime, angled on stiff geometric stalks. Formerly offered as C. glabra 'Giant Splashed'--this can reach considerable dimensions in time.

42105 CUPHEA AEQUIPETALA LYT TGH HP PRICE: $ 4.75 "Mexican Loosestrife" Slender arched stems, ranked w/ slim leaves, topped with petite lilac and green tubular blossoms with deep purple petals opposite four wider rosetoned petals. Height of bloom mid-winter. Easily grown also as a semi-aquatic. More a curosity (and potential genetic pool for hybridizers) than an imposing horticultural subject.

41927 CUPHEA DAVID VERITY [HYB] LYT HP TGH PRICE: $ 5.00 Marvelous improvement on the traditional "Firecracker Plant" (C. ignea/platycentra) with bright red tubular flowers on dark foliaged vigorous plants. This high performer is the best choice for urns, containers, and large baskets; everblooming in a bright area of the hobby greenhouse.

40169 CUPHEA HYSSOPIFOLIA LYT HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.75 "Hawaiian Heather" everblooming lavender flowers on an upright outcurved compact bush. Good for large terrariums, dish gardens and small windowsills. As the nursery trade basically grows only the 'Yatabusa' selection, this old favorite has basically disappeared from the general market.

41376 CUPHEA HYSSOPIFOLIA LINDA DOWNER LYT HP TGH PRICE: $ 5.00 Compact laterally-branching cultivar of "Dwarf Hawaiian Heather" selected at Downer's Greenhouses with sprays of pure white flowers; the perfect companion for the purple flowerd cultivars. Good flowering indoor bonsai subject and quite popular in summertime urns.

41333 CUPHEA HYSSOPIFOLIA PALEST PINKIE LYT HP TGH PRICE: $ 5.00 A delicate color selection of the reliable "Hawaiian Heather" (a native of Guatemala, naturally) with very pale lilac ever blooming flowers on arched stems. A random seedling originally found in our greenhouses here, and still in great demand.

42209 CUPHEA HYSSOPIFOLIA YATSUBUSA LYT HP PRICE: $ 5.25 Foliage larger, lilac flowered color more intense than the more elegant 'Compacta', yet keeps lateral low growth habit. As this more laterally angled woody stemed selection grows rapidly, it will always appeal to bonsai designers.

42349 CUPHEA IGNEA LYT HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.25 Mexican "Cigar Flower" Modest bushy shrublet, easliy pruned to any desired size, producing many dark red tubular flowers with dark band and white rim at the tip. Always the favorite of kids. The lower more lateral growth habit (unlike the thriller 'David Verity') dictate this a spiller in container combos.

66923 CUPHEA IGNEA PINK PECULIAR LYT TGH HP PRICE: $ 4.50 Multitudes of pert pink "Cigar Flowers" (each with a dark tip) on compact wide spreading shrublets. We have noted (with amusement) varying cute marketing names for this cultivar over the years as it appears, disappears, then reappears in the bedding plant market. Most peculiar.

54371 CUPHEA MICROPETALA GRANADA ORANGE LYT TGH HP PRICE: $ 3.75 Dark glossy foliage on strong limber stems (habit closer to Cuphea aequipetala) display multitudes of white-orange tubular flowers with fringed spidery tips only when this receives the full sun and warm root zone temps it prefers. Mexican (some say Caribbean) shrub eventually forming a woody base with time. This is a most showy easily grown "Cigar Plant" species deserving much greater use in summertime urn, bedding, and windowbox use as well as winter greenhouse designs.

40172 CYANASTRUM CORDIFOLIUM COMPACTUM CYN CGH PRICE: $ 35.00 VERY LIMITED AVAILABLILTY "Indoor Hosta" Rosettes of corrugated heart (cordi-) leaves arise from thickened corms. Unusual soil level blossoms give its Latin name "Blue Star." An evergreen, very tropical, low height, Hosta look-alike. Imperative for serious collectors. Totally distinctive; seldom offered because of extremely slow growth.

The famous Teddy Bear Plant. We have it available again!

50513 CYANOTIS KEWENSIS COMM HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.25 Malabar native with compact, ground-hugging stems clasped by triangular fleshy leaves felted chocolate-brown; blue-violet flowers shy to bloom. Popular as the "Teddybear Plant" but exacting in its cultural demands: moving air with very bright light and low air humidity. The roots are very shallow, so avoid potting in a deep container--a great ground cover in a succulent dish garden.

50514 CYANOTIS SOMALIENSIS COMM HP CGH $ 3.50 "Pussy Ears" Succulent creeper with triangular curved, glossy green leaves with soft white hairs creating a "fringe"; flowers said to be purple & orange--although after growing this twenty years, we have yet to observe any. Excellent for small baskets; perfect groundcover in succulent dish gardens and a strong performer on a succulent wreath.

56531 CYCAS REVOLUTA CYC HP PRICE: $ 7.75 Seedlings of the justly famous "Sago Palm" with thick trunks supporting a crown of deep glossy green leathery deeply fingered palm like leaves; an excellent houseplant which will become ever more magnificent as your great great grandchildren inherit it.

49458 CYDISTA AEQUINOCTIALIS BIG TGH PRICE: $ 15.00 Glossy leaves on shrubby vines (like a stubby Allamanda) with terminal clusters of showy cupped trumpet blossoms a richly toned lilac. Central American typically blooming here in November given good light and constant warmth. As the popularity of this curosity seems to veer into extreme cycles, we can be caught with few ready to ship; thus, we prefer to grow this as a propagate-to-order item.

40990 CYMBALARIA AEQUITRILOBATA [MURALIS GLOBOSA] SCR HP $ 4.25 Very miniature form of "Kenilworth Ivy" with tiny scalloped (three-lobed) leaves creating a dense carpet under a half inch high; called "Toad Flax" in Europe. Half-hardy in Ohio.

51741 CYMBALARIA MURALIS [GLOBOSA?] ALBA COMPACTA SCR HH HT PRICE: $ 4.50 Totally fab: a very tightly mounding "Kennilworth Ivy" with multitutes of tinsy scalloped kidney shaped leaves, creating a busy underfroth for the miriad tinsy white "snap" blossoms. Needs full sun and a sweet soil to flourish.

40176 CYPERUS ALBOSTRIATUS VARIEGATUS CYP HP TGH PRICE: $ 10.00 Beautiful creamy striations on tufted blades; outstanding. Performs best sitting in (not submerged under) water--altho also successfully grown as a non-aquatic in moist soil.

41388 CYPERUS ALTERNIFOLIUS (INVOLUCRATUS) CYP HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.50 "Zimbabwe Umbrella Plant" Semi-aquatic Papyrus relative from the Zimbabwe vlei: (this is the clone we received from the Zimbabwe B. Garden) which forms short top whorls of bright green leaflets on short stalks. Perhaps a new species; or likely the more current or more correct name for Cyperus alternifolius (which species is supposedly only native to Madagascar)! Be warned: if brought into your house for wintering, your cats will quickly devour it with potentially resultant upchucks revealing remarkable textures & colorings.

40179 CYPERUS ALTERNIFOLIUS VARIEGATUS CYP HP TGH PRICE: $ 12.50 "Variegated Umbrella" Broad white bands on stalks & blades. Quite spectacular. This is the recommended umbrella plant for house culture. Can be used aquatically or as a standard house plant. If grown as a regular houseplant, just place a saucer under the plant so that it can be kept very moist.

59195 CYPERUS FERTILIS CYP HP CGH PRICE: $ 7.00 Marvelously cute member of the Papyrus forming small flat rosettes of many wide quilted pastel almond leaves, quite short from which centers arise arched stolons w/ new dangling cute viviparous rosettes--the "Spider Plant" of "Umbrella Sedges"--especially popular as a "darling" terrarium subject with its wee skirt of new viviparus babies encircling momma spidersedge. This is technically a bog plant--not an aquatic species--which is quite unhappy if submerged.

41931 CYPERUS PAPYRUS PERCAMENTIUM CYP TGH PRICE: $ 22.00 NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL LATE SPRING. CHECK BACK WHEN THIS MESSAGE DISAPPEARS Grassy glossy-foliaged "Dwarf Bullrush" A miniature version of the giant Egyptian pyparus with stuffy triangular stalks tufted with thickly packed umbels of slender rayed "blades." 10240 CYRTOMIUM CARYOTIDEUM POLYP CGH HP PRICE: $ 7.50 "Clean Holly Fern." Sharply outlined holly shaped pinnae are closely layered on the short curved fronds' distinctive verdant green dull sheen also distinguishes this beautiful species native from Sri Lanka to Japan. Good container plant. Certainly a subtropical garden worthy fern in the South as will tolerate considerable chill--curiously this has survived (not flourished, however) multiple winters in our outdoor gardens in a very sheltered location.

10242 CYRTOMIUM FALCATUM ROCHEFORDIANUM POLYP CGH HP PRICE: $8.00 Long-lived Asian "Holly Fern" with dark leathery fronds with pinnae strongly frringed and toothed. Very reliable container subject as long as kept evenly moist. Not reliably winter hardy here if weather is severe for an extended period, yet considered and declared to be zone 6 hardy in many reference books. Our clone has not, evidentally, read or consulted any of these expert books.
