The IMPATIENS: A suprisingly diverse group of very hard working bloomers (with just a few, like 'Kew,' grown mainly for foliar knockout duty) from the fabulous nearly prostrate I. repens with its reddish kidney shaped leaves on fat cascading magenta red stems and outsized blossoms, to the tall elegant I. niamniamensis crew with thick succulent stems presenting astounding richly colored spurred cornucopia blossoms, the "Seashell" blossoms of the auricoma x walleriana hybrids, and on to the more familiar walleriana/sultanii "Buzy Lizzy" group of which we have gradually aquired and bred an outstanding range of variegated cultivars and petite dwarf hybrids over the years.
